PASIGHAT, Aug 13: To mark the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH) Pasighat organized by the Health and Family Welfare department in collaboration with AYANG, ABK, ABKYW, AdiSU and ABVP (Pasighat unit) today. All donors were medically tested and allowed by the pathologists before donating blood. 23 volunteers were present to donate blood but 20 units could be collected today.
Among others, JDHS (T&R) Dr. D. Raina, DMO Dr. Kaling Dai, MS Dr. YR Darang, renowned blood donor and Ayang Chairperson Aini Taloh, among others were present.
While extending his thanks for successful conduct of the blood donation camp at BPGH, Secretary General ABK Okom Yomso said it would be the best tribute to the Freedom Fighters while celebrating Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav in the district. It is really heartening to see that young people are coming forward lending support to the cause of donating blood, he said adding that ABK would continue its support and cooperation to the government in all fronts for betterment of the Adi community in particular.
