ITANAGAR, Jul 2:National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind has embarked on a nationwide tour before the presidential elections to ensure maximum support. He will visit Northeast India on July 6. Kovind, who was the former governor of Bihar is supposed to get huge support from the region after BJP has come to power in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur.
Kovind’s first stop in Northeast will be Arunachal Pradesh. He is scheduled to arrive at Lilabari airport at 10.15 am on July 6 and from there, he will go to Itanagar. After meeting BJP MPs and MLAs at Itanagar, he will leave for Assam. He is scheduled to arrive in Guwahati at 3 pm. Here also he will meet legislators at Taj Guwahati Hotel.
His next stop will be Manipur where he will reach at 10 am on July 7. Here, he will stay at Hotel Classic in Imphal where he will meet MLAs and MPs. His final destination will be Nagaland. He will visit both Kohima and Dimapur where he will meet legislators and on the same evening, he will fly back to Delhi.
