ITANAGAR, Nov 6:  The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Schedule Tribes Morcha on Saturday called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu and submitted the resolutions passed in the State Executive Meeting of ST Morcha held at Itanagar from September 22-24.  The team was led by BJP ST Morcha president Hinium Tachu along with general secretary Nich Nikh.
The eight points include Special Centre assistance to Tribal Scheme (SCA to TSS), Grant aid under article 275(1) of the constitution, scheme strengthening education among ST students in low literacy districts, vocational training in tribal areas etc.
The ST Morcha also sought for new schemes for tribal people and demanded support for tribal institutions (TRI) and tribal festivals, research information and mass education.
Chief Minister Khandu felicitated newly appointed BJP ST Morcha National Executive Member, Tseten Chombay during the meeting.  Tseten Chombay is an active social worker. He worked as Vice-President in the State Kisan Morcha in 2017-2019 and is a recipient of the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Medal.
