GUMTO, May 9: The Doimukh local MLA Tana Hali Tara today launched helpline services for needy people and all those who may need help during the Covid pandemic in the state. Hali lauded the BJP karyakartas for coming forward to support the frontline workers and cooperate with the local administration in the fight against the Coronavirus. "We are passing through a crucial period and the decision of ST Morcha to help the needy people during the hour of crisis is praiseworthy. The helpline and Control room set up by ST Morcha would definitely help the helpless and needy people of the capital complex in particular," he said.
He requested the ST Morcha President Hinium Tachu to depute responsible volunteers designated at various checkgates who will monitor and help the Covid warriors and help the needy people.
We have started a control room at BJP headquarter with 10 helpline no-9612104331, 9436055580, 8131871699 etc and anyone who need help and support during the pandemic can contact the responsible persons from the BJP ST Morcha for help and support and our volunteers will guide and help them, Tachu said.
He further reiterated on the need to wear facemask and practice Covid-19 appropriate behaviour. Today the team of ST Morcha led by Tachu visited the three checkgates--Gumto,  Banderdewa and Hollongi and motivated the frontline workers which include medical staff and police personnel and distributed essential items and drinking water.
BJP general secretary Nalong Mize, Sangdupota ZPM Hina Tok and other senior executive members were present on the occassion.
