ITANAGAR, Jan 30: BJP corporators of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation led by National Executive Member-cum-Mayor Tame Phassang today called on the party’s National General Secretary Ajay Jamwal here at the State BJP office.
Speaking to the media, Phassang informed that all the newly elected BJP corporators had a fruitful discussion with Jamwal on issues relating to the IMC. “There is a tradition in the BJP that whenever any leader from the rank of the high command visits the state, party workers or elected members pay a courtesy visit and apprise on issues related to the state and the party,” he said. Jamwal suggested the corporators to work unitedly for all-round development of Arunachal Pradesh.
Briefing more about the meeting, Phassang disclosed that Team IMC has set a vision for 2022 when the country will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of independence. “By then we will do our best and have taken a resolution to give the state capital a facelift. However, for a clean, green and peaceful capital, support from all sections of society is a must,” the mayor added.
