BORUM, Sep 1: Circle Officer-cum-Block Development Officer-Borum CD Block, Yakar Dawe distributed seeds to the first batch beneficiaries of the Block under 13-Itanagar AC as a part of the Nutritional Kitchen Garden scheme here on Tuesday.
Handing over the seed packets she advised the beneficiaries to grow seasonal vegetables in their Kitchen Gardens by following the Crop Calendar prepared by the Department of Agriculture, Papum Pare.
She informed that her office and the concerned Line departments will guide and monitor the activities and time-to-time inspections will also be carried out to monitor progress.
She further divulged that there are seven Panchayat segments in Borum CD Block and seeds are being distributed segment-wise and in view of the Covid pandemic, a weeklong date sheet has been prepared for better coverage. DIPRO
