ITANAGAR, Jul 16: The All Arunachal Pradesh Tennis Ball Cricket Association (AAPTBCA) will conduct its first-ever North-East tennis ball cricket championship (Men & Women) at Basar, Lepa Rada district during Sept-Oct 2021.
In relation to the upcoming event, the association members on Thursday called on the union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju in New Delhi and had a brief discussion. Led by its President Ikar Riram, the AAPTBCA members apprised the minute details of the tournament. While appreciating the efforts of the association in hosting the national level tournament in Arunachal Pradesh, Rijiju assured to provide all necessary help from the government's end. The Law minister also pre-launched the Team Arunachal jersey to mark the formal commencement of the tournament.
It can be recalled that the tournament was earlier scheduled for April-May, but had to be deferred due to Covid pandemic.
