Yupia, Mar 9: District Level Consultative and Review Committee meeting of quarter ended December 2021 of  Papum Pare district was conducted under the chairmanship of  Deputy Commissioner –Cum- Chairman DCC/ DLRC  Minga Sherpa  today.
The meeting was attended by HoDs of line department, admin officers, representatives from public and private banks in Itanagar and Papum Pare rural.
The Deputy Commissioner minutely reviewed performance of banks in disbursing loans to beneficiaries under Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana(ANBY) and Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana(ANKY) and discussed the issues of pending applications of beneficiaries  and related discrepancies  and instructed the banks to properly verify and expedite sanctioning of loans to beneficiaries stating that government is continuing the ANKY and ANBY and there will be  increase in allocation in current year.
 Expressing displeasure over not conducting Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) as per RBI guidelines, the DC directed few private banks to immediately carry out financial outreach programmes in remote circles of the district to educate the people about financial management. He also said that if beneficiaries have any complain they should submit their complaints in written form instead of verbal one to competent authorities.
 DC also informed that under Govt of Arunachal Pradesh 100 percent digitalisation program,in Papum Pare rural bank account holder  among students is 63% only  and in order to achieve the cent per cent coverage concerned administrative officers along with School authorities have been directed to identify  the students not having bank accounts, simultaneously bank authorities have been asked to conduct special account opening drive in schools within next month to ensure every children have their bank account opened.
Lead bank Manager Ranjit Singh presented over view of banks performance as per items placed in agenda of DCC/DLRC meeting and discussed the issues with bankers. Representatives from  banks also apprised the chairman about status of loan applications and related issues. DIPRO
