Roing, Jan 19: A bankers meeting with bank representatives, associated government departments and administrative officers was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Soumya Saurabh today.
Bank representatives, heads of departments and administrative officers discussed on the Credit to Deposit (CD) ratio of the district and status of various state sponsored and centrally sponsored schemes.
The DC advised all to remember that the successful implementation of government schemes is a collective effort where the burden of work is shared by all stakeholders. Instead of shifting the blame, expedite the process of loan sanctioning under the government schemes to customers, she added.
She also advised the government departments to make targeted scheme based micro plans and make practical strategies to reach a wider beneficiary base. 
Reviewing the status of Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana and Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana under the Agriculture and Horticulture departments, the DC stressed on the need for timely sanctioning of loans by the banks. Stating that role of government departments does not end with the successful disbursal of loans, she asked the banks to provide a consolidated list of all NPAs and defaulters, which needed be followed up by the government departments.
The DC also advised all to create awareness on the welfare schemes and pension schemes of the central government.
