KHONSA, Jan 30: The lead bank in Tirap district, State Bank of India in collaboration with District Administration today conducted a financial literacy awareness programme in Thinsa village which was attended by more than 100 villagers and farmers.
The awareness programme was conducted to encourage farmers to avail KCC loans especially for Kiwi cultivation. Resource person-cum-Chief Manager, SBI, Khonsa branch Rajesh Sonowal elaborated on the products and schemes of the bank, social security schemes viz. PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, KCC and the benefits of opening bank accounts. Circle Officer (Development) Ripi Doni who represented the DA appealed to the villagers and farming community to avail the facilities of PM Kissan Samman Nidhi Yojana, KCC and other Central and State schemes.
10 KCC loan application forms were distributed to the Kiwi cultivators. DIPRO
