Banderdewa, Dec 30: Minister Industries, Trade & Commerce etc Tumke Bagra today while visiting the site for the Mega Food Park near Dolikota village here in Banderdewa Circle reiterated that state government is committed to provide all support and facilities like road connectivity, water and power supply etc for its early establishment.
Bagra undertook the visit along with several officers from the departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Industries and Trade & Commerce and Papum Pare District Administration including Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu. The team inspected the area and discussed relevant issues with the officers and passed necessary directions in this regard.
Talking to media, Bagra said that state government will provide connectivity, water and power supply and all necessary support to the Mega Food Park soon which are facing delays due to some technical problems. For inviting investors, the department will initiate several programmes such as road shows, advertisements in other parts of country and Northeast region, meeting with investors for establishing allied industries in the park etc, for which the department is finalising schemes and proposals, Bagra said.
He thanked the Union Minister of State for Food Processing Ramehswar Teli, MoS (Sports & YA) Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister Pema Khandu for pursuing the issue with the central government, adding that all like-minded investors who want to invest in state will be welcomed and given appropriate platforms for their ventures.
The site has been inspected by Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar recently and with today’s visit the Minister has updated himself so as to expedite its early establishment. 50 acres of land is leasable out of the total 75 where investors can set up several related industries.
Lead promoter of the park, Likha Maj said that approval of the State Industrial Policy will pave the way for big businessmen and investors to make footfall in state. He urged upon the government to organize investors’ meet for attracting investments in state.
