ITANAGAR, Dec 28: At the end of day six of the ongoing Brahmaputra Aamantran Abhiyaan (BAA) on Monday, the rafting team reached Rottung where they will be halting for the night.
The team comprising 8 rafters on 2 rafts and 4 local guides started from the Geku halt point at 0800 hrs and reached Rottung at around 1425 hrs. There are more than 16-20 moderate to difficult rapids ranging from Grade II-VI and during the course of expedition weather will be chilly with temperatures ranging from 0-5 degree Celsius in evening and 5-15 degree Celsius during daytime.
Keeping in view the perilous nature of the expedition, a full rescue backup is being provided by the NDRF.
