BOMDILA, Apr 5: As part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahatsav’ currently celebrated across the country for commemorating the 75th year of India’s independence, West Kameng District Administration in collaboration with Department of Sports & Youth Affairs today organized the Bomdila MTB Cycling Competition 2021 here in the township.
Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki flagged off the cycling competition from 1 Mile View Point which culminated at Buddha Park covering a 20.4 km stretch through hilly terrain. Addressing the gathering, the DC while underscoring the role of cycling in maintaining sound health reminded the necessity to wear safety gears to avoid accidents.
Pema Khandu Khirme was declared the competition’s winner and received a cash prize of Rs 5000 along with a trophy and a certificate. Rinchin Khandu Thongon and Karma Dorjee Thongdok stood 2nd and 3rd respectively. DIPRO
