ITANAGAR, Feb 10: Ministry of Ayush is distributing Ayurveda prophylactic medicines in the state under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Research Officer Dr. Arvind Kumar on Thursday said that Ayurveda medicine is effective for Covid-19 treatment, while addressing media persons at the press club today. The campaign to distribute the medicine free of cost began in the month of September last year by the Ayurveda Regional Research Institute (ARRI), Itanagar under AYUSH.
“Till date more than 6,500 beneficiaries have been provided with medicines and guidelines. Our target is to distribute 50,000 medicines in the state,” he said, adding that the government of India made it a free of cost medicine distribution campaign after looking into the effectiveness of the medicine to overcome Covid-19.
He said the campaign will continue till 15th August, 2023.
