PASIGHAT, Aug 22: Founder-Chairperson of Ayang, the popular voluntary blood donation organization, Aini Taloh on Saturday made a record by donating blood voluntarily for the 29th time here at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital.
Popularly known as “Ayi” (Mother) for conducting regular blood donation camps which had so far saved around 500 lives, Taloh donates blood voluntarily after every three months. Her organisation today also donated one unit of A+ blood to a man from Yagrung village.
It can be recalled that the then CM Nabam Tuki had felicitated “Ayi” with certificates on behalf of APSACS and Federation of Blood Donor Organizations of India as a token of appreciation for her noble services. She is also a recipient of the ‘Prominent Blood Donor’ award from the Government of West Bengal.
