Roing, Nov 17:  An awareness programme on Legal Adoption and Training on Growth Monitoring Devices were held today here at the Anchal Samiti Hall attended by the officials of Women & Child Development (WCD) department and various stakeholders namely CWC and Childline Roing, Nani Maria CCI and CBOs of the district. 

The Director, WCD department Tokmem P Loyi while informing that November 1-30 is being celebrated as the adoption month, requested everyone present to become the voice of children and remain accustomed with the adoption procedures. Probation-cum-Legal Officer Lower Dibang Valley district highlighted the legalities involved in adopting children. SNO Poshan Abhiyan Dorjee K Thungon took a session on Poshan and State Consultant-Poshan Abhiyan Malom Saring imparted training on growth monitoring devices to the ICDS functionaries.

The WCD Director also took stock of the activities of Childline Roing, Working Women Hostel, One-stop Centre, Nani Maria CCI and SAA. WCD Dept. PR
