Pasighat, Feb 5: Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Govt. of India, Ministry of I & B, Pasighat today organized a rally-cum-awareness programme on Ayushman Bharat (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-PMJAY) under the banner of Special Outreach Programme at Yagrung village of East Siang district.
The programme, intended to create awareness and provide information among the rural people about Ayushman Bharat started with a mass awareness rally in which the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Yagrung participated.
Ex-ZPM, Yagrung and  chief guest Namuk Taloh spoke about the importance of Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) scheme for tribal and poor people in particular who are not in a financial position to get treatment of any critical disease of their family members in bigger hospitals. Stressing on spreading awareness about the scheme he said that FOB, Pasighat team has reached the doorsteps of these poor people so that they can know and avail the benefits.Prime Minister Naredra Modi formally launched Ayushman Bharat on Sep 25 last year on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. 
Speaking as resource person, Medical Officer, PHC, Yagrung Dr. Miti Darang informed the gathering about Ayushman Bharat and said that benefits of the scheme are portable across the country and a beneficiary covered under the scheme will be allowed to get benefits of cashless payment of treatment per year per family from any public/private empanelled hospital across the country upto Rs. 5 lakh. Dr. Darang also said that Ayushman Bharat - National Health Protection Mission will be an entitlement based scheme decided on the basis of deprivation criteria in the Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) database.
 In his keynote address FPO, FOB, Pasighat Mihir Kumar Jha briefed the gathering about Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) and said that this scheme will have a major impact on reduction of Out of Pocket (OOP) expenditure on ground and will benefit over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families of the country. 
About 150 villagers and students participated in the programme and a quiz competition was also organized on the theme and prizes distributed to the winners.
A similar programme was also organized at Tekang village of East Siang district on Feb 4 to aware the rural people about Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY). DIPRO
