YINGKIONG, Jul 24:An Awareness programme on Green India Mission organized by Yingkiong Forest Division was conducted at Community Hall, Komkar on Sunday.

DC Remo Kamki while informing about the directives of the Supreme Court order warned the people not to use foreign made Hand Saw Machine which will put a halt on reckless deforestation. He appealed the people not to carry out hunting and directed the District Administration to seize fire arms. He also urged the people not to use pesticide and weedicide in the field.

Responding to public memorandum regarding creation of Circle, he informed that the creation of new Circle at Pobe has been recommended to the State Government.

DFO Anying Boli informed that Komkar has been selected under Green India Mission and clarified that the scheme is for the benefit of the villagers. He asked the people not to use foreign made Hand Saw Machine and also not to take up hunting of wild animals & birds. He advised the people about the importance of conservation of forest and compensate with plantations in case of cutting of trees for domestic purpose.
