ITANAGAR, Jul 24:Arunachal Vivekananda Yuva Shakti founder-chairman Ramesh Jeke beyond his 'Save life mission' went ahead to adopt five children including three girls on Monday.

Jeke told this daily that he adopted them as they were helpless and there was none to support them. They included Nomi Tayeng, 5, and Maryam Tayeng, 4, have been fighting for survival after their 32-year-old mother suffered from cancer. Her husband had abandoned her with four infants. On being alerted by Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS), Jeke took care of her since then and her left infected leg was amputated  recently.

Others included Tame Agung, 6, Kipa Yakung, 5, Tame Bru, 4, of Karsingsa, who lost their mother when they were kids and their father is physically unfit to work.

Jeke decided to adopt them on Monday and on learning about the humanitarian gesture of Jeke, social activist Toko Natu, wife of PHED (WZ) chief engineer Toko Jyoti along with her son, famed drummer Toko Teji turned good Samaritans. Natu volunteered to provide all requirements of the children including financing their education. Jeke along with AVYS volunteer and noted singer Boby Techi received huge quantities of essential items for the five children. In fact, Natu and Oju Welfare Association chairperson Anya Ratan have always been helping in blood donation campaign of Arunachal Voluntary Blood Donor Organisation, a unit of AVYS.

Regrettably, another woman from Seppa suffering from breast cancer had arrived with two minor kids without any other family members and abandoned by her husband, who is also under AVYS  treatment. As chemotherapy and their daily expenses was high, Jeke approached adviser Pradeep Kumar today with a request to move the GoAP to seek help.
