NAMSAI, Jun 28: Namsai-based Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Productivity Council (NPC), New Delhi on June 23 last in the national capital.
Chairman, AUS Dr Ashwani Lochan and Director General, NPC Arun Kumar Jha signed the MoU in presence of the university’s Registrar Divyanshu Goel, Joint Registrar Himanshu Panchal, Director, Faculty of Skill Development & Vocational Studies Yashvardhan Agnihotri and Coordinator, University-Industry Inter-Linkage Centre (UILC), AUS Professor Rani Jha. The MoU will pave the way for jointly organizing and promoting certain training programmes and professional events across India regularly. Additionally, UILC-AUS will also promote the stand-alone NPC training programmes to its students and faculty. Both the parties aim to deliver quality training for promotion of industry and internal trade in the fields of industrial engineering, agri-business, economic services, quality management, human resources management, information technology, technology management, energy management, environmental management and others. “This is one of the most anticipated MoUs the UILC has signed so far, paving the way for our unique mission to empower the students of Arunachal Pradesh. In collaboration with the NPC, AUS has also entered the second week of the 30-day SAKSHAM 4.0 Virtual Internship,” AUS Chairman said. 
Established in 1958, the NPC is an autonomous organization under the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Besides undertaking research in the areas of productivity, NPC has been providing consultancy and training services in the above fields to government, public and private sector organizations.
