CHANGLANG, Sep 13: Expressing resentment over the deplorable condition of the link road from Changlang to New Sallang village at Manmow in Changlang district, the New Sallang Youth Association (NSYA) has urged the concerned authority to restore it immediately.
NSYA Adviser Marmet Ngaimong lamented that the pathetic condition of the road which is at least 2.5 km here from the district headquarters is causing unspeakable problems to the villagers which is acutely felt during medical emergencies. “Many a time we apprised the problems to the local administration but till date no heed has been given to our request,” he said. “We convened a meeting today with all the government officials of the area to discuss the problem, but sadly many of them didn’t turn up,” Ngaimong lamented.
Condemning the lackadaisical attitude of the government officials including the EAC, NSYA has asked for a written explanation.
