Wakro, Oct 13: The Bibha-Shanta Prakalp of the Beena Ghose Roy Scheme by the Anu Shiksha Seva Trust, Wakro was launched by Kenter Joya Riba, Managing Editor, Eastern Sentinel.

Named honouring saintly mothers Bibha Bhattacharjee of Nabadal and Maiyya Shantabai Tamhan, the Bibha-Shanta Prakalp will provide financial assistance to girl child in need of pursuing higher and technical education. 

The Apnes of the Apna Vidya Bhavan and girls of KGBV Wakro performed dances and sang to mark the occassion. Speaking at the Beena Ghose Roy Enclave, Riba lauded the students for the discipline and good conduct and also appreciated the Anu Shiksha Seva Trust for the service to society. Pankaj Rajgarhia, Sanjay Agarwal, Texmo Pipes Foundation, Dr Sanjay Sharma and Dr Rakesh Tyagi contributed financially to support the Bibha-Shanta Prakalp.

Riba also handed over a cheque of Rupees Two Lakhs provided by the Sat Bhavana Trust, Mumbai to meet salary expense of the Apna Vidya Bhavan which was received by the Bursar, Apna Vidya Bhavan. The ASSET thanked Shyam Jaisingh and learned Trustees of the Sat Bhavan Trust for the regular assistance. She also met girl child Apyalu Mam under the care of the Indian Army and interacted with the students.
