Khonsa, Oct 29: In response to a massive fire incident in Khonsa Town on Diwali night (October 20), the Assam Rifles Khonsa Battalion provided timely humanitarian assistance to affected families. The fire had engulfed several houses and shops, causing significant loss of property and livelihoods.
Assam Rifles troops joined forces with the Fire Department, CRPF, and local volunteers to contain the fire and prevent further damage. Following the incident, the Battalion provided essential relief materials, including food, water, and clothing, and rendered medical aid to those in need.
