ITANAGAR, Dec 16: Aina Battalion of 34 Assam Rifles observed Vijay Diwas on Wednesday through a weapon display for the students of remote Parbung and Senvawn villages along the Manipur-Mizoram border.
The chief intention of the event was to motivate the local youths to join the Indian Army. Besides explaining the significance of Vijay Diwas, the students, approximately 70 in numbers were motivated to join the Indian Armed Forces with the help of informative and motivational videos. Teachers and officials from the local administration including the SDO and staff of Tipaimukh Sub-division attended the event.
An interactive session between the students and Assam Rifles personnel was also arranged. AR PR
