Khonsa, Mar 29: Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles organised a civic outreach programme for distribution of solar lights under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme on Saturday at Old Paniduria Village, Tirap District.
The initiative was undertaken with the aim of supporting residents of remote areas by providing sustainable lighting solutions and improving their quality of life. The project is expected to benefit the villagers by enhancing lighting during evening hours and promoting safety and convenience in daily activities.
The project locations were identified in coordination with village authorities to ensure that assistance reached the genuinely deserving sections of the community. The programme witnessed active participation of village elders and local residents, who expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Assam Rifles for the thoughtful initiative and continued efforts for the welfare of the people of the region.
The initiative reflects the commitment of Khonsa Battalion towards community development and its dedication to strengthening goodwill, trust and civil–military relations with the local populace. Through such activities under the Civic Action Programme, Assam Rifles continues to contribute towards the socio-economic upliftment and well-being of the people in Tirap.
