ITANAGAR, Jun 4: Bijay Deka of Guwahati, Assam bagged the first position in the men's category of Mini Marathon race organised by the Capital Complex Dree Festival Celebration Commitee-2022 (CCDFC) here today at Papu Nallah, Naharlagun while Jyoti Mane of Shi-Yomi district secured the first prize in the women's category.
Harang Cheri(2nd), Bipul Satanami(3rd), Khoshan Khamblai(4th), Tapo Darba(5th), Tangu Ngomle (6th) secured the top six spots in the men's category while in the the women's category Yabom Tali(2nd), Lily Thangchopi(3rd), Nedi Ngi(4th), Albina Doley(5th) and Yaro Maying(6th) finished the race by securing the top six positions respectively. A total of 170 runners took part in race covering a distance of 15 kilometres, starting from Chimpu Police check gate and culminating at Dree Ground, Papu Nallah, Naharlagun.
Chuku Apa,(IPS), IG, Law and Order, Arunachal Pradesh Police, attended the event as the chief guest. In his address, Apa urged the participants to have control over their diet in order to get a healthy physical and mental lifestyle. He later  distributed the prizes to the winners.
Nani Tath, Chairman, CCDFC-2022, briefing the media persons expressed his happiness over the huge turn up of  participants even from neighbouring state of Assam. He also informed that as part of Dree festival celebration many more sports and cultural events are lined up in the coming days and appealed every Apatani denizens to take part whole heartedly.
