ITANAGAR, Jun 7: Covid situation in Arunachal Pradesh looked bright on Monday with no casualties and recoveries overtaking new cases with a good margin.
There was a total of 360 new Covid cases in the state and ICR accounted for the maximum with 74, followed by Upper Subansiri and West Kameng with 31 each, Changlang 30, East Siang and Lower Subansiri 25 each and East Kameng 23. Of the total, asymptomatic cases continued to be the bulk with 209 and rest 151 symptomatic.
Recoveries touched a new high on the day with a total of 513. The top seven districts were -ICR 116, Changlang 73,  Tawang 67, Namsai 62, Lohit 29, Lower Subansiri 26 and Upper Subansiri 23. This has taken the discharge total to 26131. 7848 samples were collected from across the state on the day.
In terms of Covid vaccination, with 5972 in the 18-44 age group taking their first dose, the state's coverage percentage in this segment has now reached 10. For the 45+ age category, it was 1712 for dose 1 and 15 for dose 2. Monday's occupancy status at the CCCs was- 47 at DCH Chimpu, 28 at SQF Lekhi, 4 at DCHC Midpu, 7 at DCH Pasighat and 34 at DCHC.
As per the state Covid bulletin, till date Arunachal Pradesh has seen a total of 29696 cases, 26131 complete recoveries and 125 casualties. After Monday's addition, active cases are 3440.
