ITANAGAR, May 21: After a day’s gap, Arunachal Pradesh on Friday saw 3 deaths due to Covid which took the state's casualty count to 92.
A 43-yr old female Covid positive patient from Wakro, Lohit who took the first dose of the vaccine on April 19 last and was suffering from comorbidities expired today at DCH Pasighat. A 60-yr old male Covid patient from New Dupke, Changlang district expired today at DCHC Jairampur due to cardio respiratory failure. A 50-yr old male from Gunanagar, Chowkham in Namsai who tested Covid-19 positive expired at his residence on May 17 last died due to cardiac arrest.
Meanwhile, marking a return of the exponential rise, 394 fresh cases (asymptomatic 218, symptomatic 176) from almost all districts were added on the day which took the state’s active Covid count to 2916. ICR remained at the top with 84 new cases followed by Changlang 49 and Upper Siang 43. 206 recoveries on the day (ICR 62 and Lower Subansiri 21 the top two districts) has taken the state’s discharge tally to 20545. 4615 samples for Covid tests were also collected from all the districts with 707 and 706 collections LDV and ICR respectively.
A total of 2571 Covid patients are currently under home isolation in the state and occupancy status at the CCCs as of May 21 was- 56 at DCH Chimpu, 42 at SQF Lekhi, 2 at DCHC Midpu, 6 at DCH Pasighat and 64 at DCHC.
