ITANAGAR, May 8:  Arunachal Pradesh recorded 244 more Covid cases on Saturday which took the state’s active tally to 2002. 
While the situation in the ICR remained grim with 77 additions, in Tawang 33 cases were detected on the day, followed by LDV and Lohit 20 each, Changlang 19, Lower Siang 13, East Siang 12 and Lower Subansiri 10, the districts that saw double digit additions. With 135 recoveries on the day (ICR- 49, LDV 22, Papum Pare 15 contributing the most), the state’s total number of discharged Covid patients is now 17984.  In terms of sample collection, the total collections on Saturday were 3165 (ICR-641, Papum Pare 395, Changlang 392, West Kameng 355, Namsai 245 the major ones).
Occupancy status of the CCCs as on Saturday are- 38 at DCH Chimpu, 73 at SQF Lekhi, 14 at DCHC Midpu , 11 at DCH Pasighat and 2 at DCHC. 459 persons are currently under home isolation in the ICR and 289 at LDV.
