ITANAGAR, Apr 20: Covid scenario of Arunachal Pradesh continued to remain critical with the addition of 61 new cases on Tuesday.
Going by the State Covid Bulletin released in the evening, it is apparent that the ICR is emerging as the new hotspot as it continues to top the chart in terms of new detections. Of the 61 new cases, its share is 21, followed by West Kameng 12, LDV 9, Tirap 6, Tawang 4, Papum Pare and East Siang 3 each and 1 each by West Siang, Lohit and Lower Subansiri. After these additions of which symptomatic and asymptomatic cases are 35 and 26 respectively, the state’s active caseload tally has touched 222. With 15 more recoveries (ICR 7; Papum Pare 6; LDV 2), the state’s total recovery/discharge count now stands at 16835.
Sample collection has improved substantially with 1992 collected on Tuesday compared to 1162 on Monday. District-wise major collections are: ICR 538, West Kameng 413, Papum Pare 242, East Siang 195, Lohit 169, Namsai 118, LDV 9, Changlang 54 and Longding 45.
At the moment, there are 8 Covid patients at DCH Chimpu and 1 at DCHC Midpu.
