ITANAGAR, Apr 27: Active Covid cases in Arunachal Pradesh reached 819 on Tuesday with addition of 123 new cases and after 28 more recoveries, the total discharge/recovery count is now 17021.
Asymptomatic cases continued to remain the bulk of new infections with 110 recorded on the day along with 23 symptomatic cases. District-wise new detections were: ICR 30, Lower Dibang Valley 22, Lower Subansiri 15, Papum Pare 14, East Siang 8, West Kameng 6, Tawang 8, West Siang 4, Changlang and Lower Siang 3 each, Lohit, Namsai and Tirap 2 each and Pakke Kessang, East Kameng, Lepa Rada and Anjaw 1 each. 28 Covid patients (ICR 10; LDV 7, East Siang 4; Papum Pare 2; East Kameng 2 and Namsai, Lower Subansiri and Changlang 1 each) were declared cured on the day. 3095 samples were collected and the major collections were from ICR 685, Papum Pare 470, East Siang 375, Changlang 252, LDV 235, Lower Subansiri 224, Lohit 181, West Kameng 178, Namsai 146, Longding 75 and West Siang 72. The state’s Covid casualty count remained at 58 with no further deaths. So far, 431717 individuals have been tested for Covid and 412948 have tested negative.
The updated current occupancy status at the Covid facilities is: DCH Chimpu 19, DCHC Midpu 6, DCH Pasighat 5 and DCHC 26.
