ITANAGAR, Jun 20: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar today informed that the Arunachalee girl who was subjected to voilence images of which were viral on the social media, has been rescued and reached home to her parents today.
The Commission has appreciated Kusum Kandwal, the Chairperson, Uttrakhand Commission for Women, Dehradun for responding to its letter on the instant case. The Commission also appreciated the tireless hard work of the One Stop Centre, Naharlagun team and its counterpart One Stop Centre, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand in rescuing and bringing the victim from Uttrakhand to Arunachal Pradesh.
The Commission further appreciated the help and support by the family, relatives and clan members of the victim for playing the main role for success of this rescue mission.  
The APSCW has requested the state government to emphasis on creating awareness to the general public especially the young girls on crimes against women and girl child. Due to lack of awareness on crimes like domestic violence, cyber crime, trafficking and others,  young girls are being taken advantage and become victims, it said. Further, the APSCW requested the Community Based Organisations and other NGOs for vigilant coordination in such cases to prevent unfortunate events towards women and girl child in society.
