ITANAGAR, Nov 29: Arunachal Wushu Team came second place in the North East Zonal Qualifiers played at Imphal from November 22 to 25. Host Manipur clinched the top spot where eight North Eastern States besides West Bengal participated.
Playing at the Khelo India Wushu Women’s League/Ranking (Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior) Tournament and Zonal Qualifying Event, Arunachal Pradesh bagged total 14 medals which includes 4 gold, 2 silver & 8 bronze.
 Yarna Rosni (2 Gold), Gyamar Kana (1 Gold), Nomi Tamut (1 Gold), Takam Chumchi (1 silver & 1 Bronze), Lucy Miuli (1 Silver), Tai Yamak (1 Bronze), P.Martina Wangjen (1 Bronze), Gyamar Yatup (1 Bronze), Gida Kamir(1 Bronze), Mercy Ngaimarg (1 Bronze), Mepung Lamgu (1 Bronze), Toko Apung (1 Bronze) were the medal winners.
The team was led by the All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association (AAPWA) president Tach Tadar along with team coach Tai Yamak and team manager Tai Yatang. Technical officials Bamang Ampa & Tai Kaya also represented the state in the event.
Further participating in the 31st Senior National Wushu Championship  at Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir from October 28 to November 2 last, Arunachal Wushu players won total 10 medals in different events and were declared as 2nd Runners-Up in Taolu Event.
Nyeman Wangsu (3 gold, each in Gunshu, Chang Quan & Daoshu ), Onila Tega (Gold in 52 Kg Sanda), Mepung Lamgu (2 Silver each in Taiji Quan & Taijijian), Mercy Ngaimong (1 silver in Jianshu &1 bronze in TaijiJian), Realu Boo (Bronze in TaijiJian) and Gyamar Yatup (Bronze in 48Kg Sanda) were the medal winners for the state.
AAPWA general secretary Abo Lukham & treasurer Taring Liyak had led the team as coach in (Sanda event) & manager respectively. Soni Beyong was judge of Taolu event while Tai Yamak  manager (Taolu) and  M. Premchandraas coach (Taolu) were also part of the contingent.
