ITANAGAR, Jun 29: Arunachal Pradesh stormed into its maiden semi finals of the Hero Jr. Women’s Football Championship by registering a hard fought 1-0 win against Chhattisgarh in the second quarter final match of the competition played today at Guwahati, Assam.
Chattisgarh defense tried hard to keep in-form forward line of Arunachal at bay right from the start of the match but better ball possession and resilient counter attacks of Arunachal girls throughout the first half helped them to net the only but all important goal in the 38th minute through Talloh Ana to get    1-0 lead at the end of first half.
Second half saw good defensive display from both teams and no more goals were scored. That lone first half goal helped Team Arunachal to secure Semi Final berth in the Championship along with Bihar who defeated Manipur in the first Quarter Finals played today.
Arunachal will meet the winner of 4th Quarter Final Match between Kerala vs Dadra Aand Nagar Haveli which will be played Thursday afternoon.Both Semi finals of Hero Jr. Women's NFC will be played on July 2 next.
Arunachal Pradesh Football Association has congratulated the team management and players of state team for this splendid feat and wished the best for their upcoming match.
