ITANAGAR, Jul 7: Joining the rest of the nation in the 'Cheer4India' campaign for encouraging the Indian contingent who will be competing at the Tokyo Olympics beginning from August 2021, Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Mama Natung today participated in the solidarity run.
The run was organised by MN Trust in collaboration with the Directorate of Youth Affairs from Akashdeep to IG Park. Speaking on the occasion, Natung stated that the run was a gesture to support the participants in the Tokyo Olympics and encourage the athletes participating in various disciplines from Arunachal Pradesh. “We hope India will bag a good number of medals in all the disciplines in the Tokyo Olympics,” Natung said, adding that the people of Arunachal Pradesh are in solidarity with the athletes representing the country. The Sports Minister also appealed the state’s youths to indulge in various physical activities to nurture their talents.
Among others, legislator Ojing Tasing, Chairman MN Trust Diwan Natung, Director of Sports & Youth Affairs, athletes, sportsperson and officials joined the solidarity run.
