ITANAGAR, Jun 14: Arunachal’s Covid situation saw a marked deterioration on Monday with as many as 6 deaths and fresh cases out numbering recoveries.
Of the six deaths, 3 were from the ICR. A 70-yr old male Covid patient with multiple comorbidities and not vaccinated expired on Sunday evening at his home due to ARDS. A 30-yr old male Covid patient from the ICR with multiple comorbidities and not vaccinated died at DCH Chimpu on Sunday evening due to ARDS and Covid pneumonia. Another 70-yr old male from the ICR whose vaccination status was nil expired on Sunday evening at DCH Chimpu due to ARDS and Covid pneumonia. A 102-yr old male Covid patient from Lower Siang district who was not suffering from comorbidities and not vaccinated expired on Sunday afternoon at DCH Chimpu due to ARDS and Covid pneumonia. A 38-yr old female from Lohit without any comorbidity and whose vaccination status was nil, expired on Sunday evening on her way to AMC Dibrugarh. At DCHC Ziro, a 35-yr old male with comorbidities and not vaccinated died today due to Covid pneumonia.With these casualties the state’s death Covid death toll rose to 151.
A total of 366 new Covid cases in the state were added with the ICR on the top with 93. Of the total, asymptomatic cases were 246 and 120 symptomatic. Recoveries saw a fall with a total of 356, with maximum from the ICR(51). On Monday evening, the state had 2889 active Covid patients and 28608 complete recoveries. 6370 samples were collected from across the state on the day.
In the 18-44 age group, 3716 took their first doses, in the 45+ age category 1847 for dose 1 and 22 for dose 2. Occupancy status at the CCCs on Monday evening was- 42 at DCH Chimpu, 31 at SQF Lekhi, 2 at DCHC Midpu, 8 at DCH Pasighat and 23 at DCHC.
