ITANAGAR, Sep 2: The covid situation across Arunachal Pradesh is showing signs of improving with recoveries outnumbering fresh cases for the past several weeks.
On Thursday, the state reported 54 fresh cases with the Itanagar capital complex reporting the maximum cases at 18 with a positivity rate of 2.6%. Of the 97 recoveries, 18 patients were discharged in the Itanagar capital complex, 13 in Upper Siang and 9 each in East Siang and Lohit.
The state however reported a lone fatality on Thursday after several days of clocking zero deaths. The deceased was a 56-year-old man from the Itanagar Capital Complex who died at DCH Chimpu due to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome with Covid Pneumonia. He was not vaccinated.
Occupancy at DCH Chimpu currently is 17, SQF Lekhi 6, DCH Pasighat 2 and DCHC 9.
