ITANAGAR, Jul 1: For two days in a row the state saw four Covid-related casualties and recoveries not surpassing fresh cases.
Casualties
At DCH Pasighat a 26-yr old male from Namsai district who was comorbidity-free expired today due to Covid pneumonia induced ARDS. A 23-yr old male also from Namsai died on Wednesday evening at Brahmaputra hospital, Dibrugarh due to the above reasons. A 34-yr old female from the ICR died on Wednesday evening at DCH Chimpu due to ARDS. A 52-yr old male Covid patient from Changlang who was suffering from multiple comorbidities expired on the way to AMCH Dibrugarh. In all the above cases, none of the patients were Covid vaccinated.
Recoveries, New Cases, Sample Collection
Of the 311 new cases (asymptomatic 143; symptomatic 168) recorded from across the state, ICR (80), Upper Subansiri ( 30), West Kameng (27) and Anjaw and Changlang ( 20 each) were the first 5 districts.
Among the 286 new recoveries, the first 4 districts were ICR (63), West Kameng (21), East Siang (20) and Anjaw (18). On Thursday evening, the state’s active caseload was 2783 and recoveries 33209. State’s casualty tally is now 176 with these 4 deaths. 5130 samples were collected from across the state on the day with 1212 from the ICR.
Vaccination
In the '18 years and above' age category, 8047 took their first dose on the day that took the coverage percentage to 63 and 1182 their 2nd shot (coverage still at 11%).
Occupancy status
At the CCCs till 8 pm of July 1, it was 40 at DCH Chimpu, 20 at SQF Lekhi, 1 at DCHC Midpu, 6 at DCH Pasighat and 27 at DCHC.
