ITANAGAR, May 20: Although there were no casualties due to Covid on Thursday in the state, overall concern showed no sign of lessening with daily caseload becoming significant than the earlier day.
360 fresh cases (asymptomatic 183, symptomatic 177)were recorded on the day, much higher than Wednesday’s 337. Cases in the ICR have risen further with 89 new infections followed by Changlang 60, Tawang 40, Lower Subansiri 31 and LDV 19. With this the state’s active Covid count is now 2731. However, there were more recoveries in comparison to the previous day- 214 in total from across the state (ICR 73, Lower Subansiri 20, Namsai 18, Changlang 16, Papum Pare 14 the first 5 districts). The recovery/discharge count is now 20339. 4602 samples were collected on the day with top collections from LDV 771, ICR 581, Changlang 435, Lower Subansiri 432, Namsai and West Kameng 345 each.
Occupancy status at the CCCs as of May 20 was- 43 Covid patients at DCH Chimpu, 36 at SQF Lekhi, 7 at DCHC Midpu, 3 at DCH Pasighat and 58 at DCHC.
