ITANAGAR, Aug 11: The death toll in Arunachal Pradesh due to Covid reached 251 on Wednesday with three more succumbing to the virus.
However the state continued to register more Covid recoveries than fresh cases.
Of the 188 new Covid cases reported, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest with 54, followed by Lower Subansiri (15) and Tawang (12). The positivity rate has declined to 8.5% in the Itanagar Capital Complex. Itanagar capital complex also saw the highest 85 recoveries of the total 233 recoveries on the day.
The deaths reported were that of a 65-year-old man from Lohit who passed away at a Dibrugarh hospital due to Acute respiratory distress syndrome with Covid pneumonia. The second fatality was that of a 50-year-old man from Lower Subansiri who died at the DHC Chimpu due to Acute respiratory distress syndrome with Covid pneumonia. The third patient, a 49-year-old man from Papum Pare died at his residence.
