ITANAGAR, Aug 19: Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday reported 120 new Covid cases and a single fatality taking the death toll to 255.
The state continued to maintain the trend of higher rate of recoveries as the past weeks and a total of 240 patients recovered today. The lone death reported was that of a 50-year-old female from the Itanagar Capital Complex who died at DCH Chimpu due to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome with Covid Pneumonia. The deceased was not vaccinated.
Of the new cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the maximum cases at 28 from a total sample collection of 684 with a positivity rate at 4.1 per cent. Lower Subansiri reported 15 cases with a positivity rate of 8.4 percent. Symptomatic cases were 69 and asymptomatic 51.
Recoveries was the highest in the ICC with 49, Lower Subansiri (35) and Tawang (26).
