ITANAGAR, Sep 28: A 55-year-old APST man has become the latest casualty due to Covid-19 in the state pushing the death tally to 15.
The officer serving as DFO died on Monday morning at the Dedicated Covid Hospital, Chimpu due to shock following upper gastro-intestinal bleeding. He was admitted to the facility on September 27 and was suffering from liver cancer and had tested positive for Covid-19.
Arunachal Pradesh has been witnessing daily Covid-19 positive cases ranging above the two hundred mark in the past week. Monday saw a breach in this figure, as the state reported its highest single day spike of 329 cases.
Itanagar Capital Complex recorded highest 117 followed by Papumpare with 86 cases. 97 patients recovered the same day. Total active cases stand at 2725.
