ITANAGAR, Aug 5: No Covid related casualties were recorded in the state on Thursday and while there were 238 new cases, 349 patients were declared Covid-free.
Recoveries, New Cases, Sample Collection
Of the total 238 new cases (asymptomatic 147; symptomatic 91) on the day, with 80 cases (positivity rate 10.3 %), ICC topped the chart. Lower Subansiri (47), Papum Pare (18), East Siang (13) and Lohit (12) followed next. West Siang recorded just 2 new cases (1.9 % positivity).
With 349 new recoveries, the state’s overall tally on Thursday evening stood at 45979 and the first 5 districts were ICC (82), Lohit (31), West Kameng (29), Lower Subansiri (28) and Lower Siang (21). 4970 samples collected from across the state, highest from the ICC (778) followed by Papum Pare (570) and West Kameng (516). After further reduction, the total number of Covid active patients in the state is now 3226 and the current casualty count is 236.
Vaccination
1st jab coverage percentage in the '18 years and above' age category has reached 65 % with 2559 beneficiaries getting vaccinated on Thursday. 1664 also took their 2nd  jabs (17% coverage).   
Occupancy status
As of August 5 (8 pm), there were 57 at DCH Chimpu, 14 at SQF Lekhi, Nil at DCHC Midpu, 3 at DCH Pasighat and 12 at DCHC.  
Containment Zones
Currently there are 35 containment zones spread over 13 districts wherein the total number of positive cases is 646.
