Itanagar, May 21: Additional Director General, National Cadet Corps, North Eastern Region Shillong, Major General Bipin Bakshi, VSM called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd) here at Raj Bhavan today and discussed about the means of promoting NCC programmes and activities in the state.
The Governor while emphasizing that NCC programmes must reach every corner of the state with enrolment of maximum number of students, also stressed that cadets from state must be given opportunities of attending the regular NCC trainings and take ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate examinations to get selected for the Republic Day parade. He also opined that there must be more NCC Units, which will help in developing a disciplined human resource pool for Arunachal Pradesh.
At the request of the Governor, ADG, NCC NER informed that 100 vacancies for enrolment of students in NCC have been allotted to Rajiv Gandhi University, the process of which will start from June this year.
