ITANAGAR, Jan 24: Arunachal on Monday reported a record 668 fresh Covid cases, the highest single-day figure so far taking the total active case to 3313.
As earlier the Capital Complex continued to log the higest daily covid cases, with 284 cases reported today pushing the positivity rate to 37.2%. Lower Dibang Valley with 44 cases and Changlang with 39 cases were the two other districts which saw highest number of cases. Of the new cases, 351 are symptomatic. Meanwhile, 288 patients recovered today.
After months of  zero covid death, Arunachal reported a single fatality on Monday taking the death toll to 283. The lone death reported was from Tawang. A 60-year-old male, a tourist from Guwahati
who developed fever and shortness of breath was admitted at DCHC, Tawang after testing covid positive on January 23 where he died shortly. The deceased was suffering from comorbidities.
