ITANAGAR, Jun 28: The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has made a significant move to generate the employment among the farmers by signing an MoU with Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd. The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development Finance Corporations Limited (A Government of Arunachal Pradesh Undertaking) and Ruchi Soya Industries Limited for setting up of Oil palm manufacturing and processing unit at Industrial Growth Centre Niglok, Ngorlung, East Siang District. Hage Tari, Managing Director, APIDFCL and Subhas Bhattacharjee, Head North East Region Oil Palm, Ruchi Soya Industries Limited signed the MoU on behalf of APIDFCL and Ruchi Soya Industries respectively.
The Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development & Financial Corporation Ltd (APIDFCL), a Government of Arunachal Pradesh Undertaking was incorporated on 9th August, 1978 under the Companies Act 1956. The 51.07% equity share is held by the APIDFCL and 48.93% equity share is held by Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The Corporation was established as the Apex Industrial Development & Financial Institution for promotion of Industries and to act as catalyst for growth of entrepreneurship, industrialization and employment generation for tribal populace of the state. 
In the past, APIDFC has played a major role in creating real assets in the state. Some of the successful assets created through refinancing is the Akash Deep Shopping Complex, and several prominent hotels the Donyi Polo Ashok.
APIDFCL being a lone State Public Sector Undertaking for financing and promoting of industrial development can play a pivotal role in generating employment among the youths as well as women entrepreneurs by inviting big investors in the State. On such step is the signing of MoU with Ruchi Soya Industries.
The Ruchi Soya Industries since it's incorporation in 1986, has evolved as an integrated player in the edible oil business with a presence across the entire value chain, from farm to fork with secured access to palm oil plantations in India. Today Ruchi Soya features among the Top FMCG players as one of the leading manufacturer & marketer of healthy range of Edible Oils and a Pioneer of Soya Foods in India. It is also one of the largest palm plantation companies in India. Today, Ruchi Soya owns 22 manufacturing units that cumulatively translate to a refining capacity of over 11000 tonnes per day, seed crushing capacity of 11000 tonnes per day and packaging capacity of 10000 tonnes per day. 
With the signing of the MoU, the farmers and other entrepreneurs’ community will be benefitted in the near future since large number of unused land can be utilized for plantations of oil palm in large scale which can become a ready raw material feeder for oil palm manufacturing units.  Further, by signing of MoU with big investors like the Ruchi Soya Industries Limited will benefit for the welfare of farmer communities in long run and for generating employment among the youths.
