On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his monthly radio programme, 'Mann Ki Baat', mentioned about the unique programme being run by the Arunachal Pradesh government to stop indiscriminate hunting of birds and lauded the Khandu government.
He said under the Airgun Surrender Abhiyaan over 1600 airguns were voluntarily surrendered by the people in the frontier state.
Arunachal Pradesh Forest Minister Mama Natung, who has been spearheading the campaign to sav wild animals, said PM's appreciation was a big moral boost for the state government and added that it was possible under leadership of the Chief Minister as well as 'Team Arunachal'.
