ITANAGAR, July 14 (PTI): The Arunachal Pradesh Government has released Rs 85 crore for Chief Minister’s Social Security Schemes under Department of Social Justice Empowerment & Tribal Affairs for the pension of widows, Differently abled person, old age and others.
"After all the formalities the pension amount will be disbursed through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) to the concerned bank account of the beneficiaries," said Director-SJETA Yumlam Kaha.
He further added, the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the Government of India that provides financial assistance to the elderly, widows and persons with disabilities in the form of social pensions. Under the programme , people from the age group of above 69 and above, 80 years and above , widow and Differently abled person will get the pension.
