Itanagar, May 9 (HS): The Pema Khandu-led State Government in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday gave its approval to release the Dearness Allowance (DA) to the State Govt employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners for 14 months, with effect from January 1, 2022, with an increase of 3pc over the existing rate of 31pc of the basic pay/pension.
This was disclosed by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, also the Minister in charge of Finance, through a social media post.
He said that the enhanced additional DA/DR shall be drawn along with monthly salary/pension from this month and arrears for four months from January to April will be paid in cash.
“Happy to inform that State Govt has today just Approved the release of 3% DA/DR to State Govt Employees/Pensioners from existing 31% to 34% for 14 months w.e.f. 01.01.2022 to 28.02.2023.
From the month of May 2022, enhanced additional DA/DR @3% shall be drawn along with normal monthly salary.
Arrears for 4 months from January' 2022 to April' 2022 will be paid in cash,” read the FB post from the Dy Chief Minister.
