ITANAGAR, Aug 3: Dr Manju Darang of Mirem Village under East Siang District has become the first woman super specialist in plastic surgery from Arunachal Pradesh.

Dr Darang did her Super specialist in plastic surgery from Guwahati Medical College, (GMC) recently and served as one year senior resident doctor at NEIGRHIMS, Shillong.  Later, Dr. Darang did her MBBS and PG in Surgery from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal.

Though belonging from a humble background, she was very talented in studies since her childhood days. She has an elder brother working as an engineer under PHE&WS Department, an elder sister and one younger brother, who is also serving as DySP in the State police.
